Winter months are more moderate in highland areas where conditions allow any travel.
Safety
Extremely high risk. Active civil war, airstrikes, drone attacks, and ground fighting occur regularly. Kidnapping for ransom is common. Armed groups control large parts of the country. Even humanitarian workers and journalists have been targeted.

Do not travel to Yemen under any circumstances. The security situation is extremely volatile across the entire country. Kidnapping, airstrikes, ground fighting, and terrorism are widespread.
Health and tap water
Tap water: Not recommended — use bottled or filtered water.
Healthcare system has largely collapsed. Severe shortages of medicine, food, and clean water. High risk of disease outbreaks. Medical evacuation is nearly impossible in most areas.
Entry and exit
Visa required. Travel is strongly discouraged by all governments. Many areas are inaccessible.
Laws
Rule of law is effectively nonexistent in large parts of the country. Armed groups impose their own rules. Foreigners have been kidnapped and killed.
