Dry season roughly May to October is popular; November to April is wetter and cyclone season.

Safety

Moderate risk. Petty theft and scams are common in tourist zones. Some violent crime occurs, particularly in and around Suva and certain urban areas. Sexual harassment and opportunistic crime can be issues. Most resort areas are safe (green).

Recommendations

Stick to reputable resorts and organized tours. Be cautious of petty theft and scams in tourist areas. Avoid walking alone at night in towns and cities. Respect local customs and village protocols when visiting rural areas.

Tap water: OK in major urban areas; caution elsewhere.

Basic healthcare in tourist areas. Tap water is generally not safe to drink. Some risk of mosquito-borne illnesses. Medical facilities are limited outside major centers.
