Safety
Low violent crime against tourists in resort areas. Petty theft and scams occur in Belize City and some tourist zones. Some drug-related crime exists but rarely targets visitors directly.
Recommendations
Stick to well-known tourist spots (Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Placencia). Be cautious in Belize City, especially at night. Use reputable tour operators and avoid isolated areas.

Tap water: OK in major urban areas; caution elsewhere.
Basic healthcare. Malaria risk exists in some rural areas. Tap water is generally not safe to drink.
Entry and exit
Visa-free for most nationalities up to 30 days.
